Rex G. Ahlstrom, President & CEO
Mr. Ahlstrom formed SOALogix in 2002 by combining a Project Management software and consulting firm with the assets and staff of a professional services automation software development company. Mr. Ahlstrom now leads this organization as its President and CEO and is responsible for continuing to define its pioneering directions in Workforce Optimization.
Previously, Mr. Ahlstrom built a healthcare enterprise software development company named MSI Software from the ground up, initially as its CTO, and, after raising significant venture capital, as its CEO. He managed all aspects of the company's operations, led all strategic business relationships, and pioneered the company's product evolution. MSI's product rose to become the leading workforce scheduling application in the healthcare marketplace. MSI was eventually sold to AtStaff, Inc.
Mr. Ahlstrom holds an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.
Laurie Johnston, EVP, Finance
Ms. Johnston joined the company in 2002 and is responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures, cash flow forecasting, and management of human resources. Ms. Johnston has over thirteen years of progressive financial management experience in public accounting and the corporate environment. Prior to joining SOALogix, Ms. Johnston worked as the Controller and then as VP of Finance and Operations for MSI Software, Inc. At MSI, she assisted in raising capital, managed complex revenue recognition issues, and supervised client services and human resources.
Ms. Johnston is a Certified Public Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Frank Oelschlager, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Oelschlager brings over 15 years of technology, engineering, and software product development experience to SOALogix. Prior to joining SOALogix, Mr. Oelschlager served as the President and COO of Ulytix, the VP of Technology Operations for illumitek, the VP of Engineering for DataZen Corporation, and the VP of Engineering for Ecologic Systems Corporation. He has also held a variety of technical and management positions at USA Today Online, Deltek Systems, and Sutron Corporation. Mr. Oelschlager has an extensive background implementing and refining software implementation best practice programs, processes and methodologies. His technical focus has been on large-scale distributed systems. Mr. Oelschlager has addressed groups from the Object-Relational Summit to the American Society for Quality.
Ian Strain, Executive Vice President, Sales
Mr. Strain brings more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, and executive management. Mr. Strain has a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and company goals and has built and led Sales and Marketing organizations from inception to more than 100 people. Prior to joining SOALogix, Mr. Strain was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Consul Risk Management (acquired by IBM), the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Brainbench, Inc. (acquired by PreVisor), and Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at SOFTWORKS, Inc. (an EMC company). Mr. Strain has also held senior-level positions at Sterling Software and Ross Management Systems.
Mr. Strain is from Epsom, England and had more than 11 years of international sales and marketing experience before becoming a permanent U.S. resident in 1993.
